THE MASSERIA

Nestled amidst lush vineyards and bearing witness to centuries past, our Masseria dates back to the 19th century. As the decades have rolled on, it has preserved its historical charm, revealing the stories and secrets of a bygone era. In the late ’90s, a delicate restoration process transformed it into a welcoming abode for guests, featuring a restaurant where one can savor the authentic flavors of the Puglian land and comfortable rooms to rest in. 2015 marked another significant chapter in its history: the addition of a new adjacent area, enhanced with elegant suites and a soothing pool, further expanding the offerings and allure of this historic place.

THE ESTATE

Set amidst a lush landscape, the estate surrounding the Masseria spans a generous 15 hectares, dominated by ancient olive groves and thriving vineyards. This bountiful land not only provides a picturesque backdrop but also serves as the beating heart of our farm productions at Azienda Agricola Scianatico – Lama San Giorgio. From the expanses of olive trees, we extract a prized organic extra virgin olive oil, while the vineyards yield annual harvests of top-quality grapes. But that’s not all: our farm’s fields also produce abundant crops of wheat and lentils, showcasing the richness and diversity that our land can offer.

THE PALAZZO DIDONNA

Located in the heart of Rutigliano (BA), just a short distance from Masseria Agrituristica Lama San Giorgio, stands the historic Palazzo Didonna. This stately residence, emblematic of the Didonna-Scianatico family, housed a picturesque olive mill in the early 20th century.

Today, the Palazzo has been transformed into a welcoming Bed & Breakfast under our attentive management. While it offers a more budget-friendly option compared to the Masseria, its 6 rooms are thoughtfully furnished and finished to high standards, ensuring a stay of comfort with great value for money. Palazzo Didonna is the perfect choice for those wishing to immerse themselves in the authentic Apulian atmosphere without sacrificing elegance and quality.
